Bars Blocks 'n' Tunnels, our new free puzzle contains 20 unconventional (not conforming to accepted rules or standards) Crossword puzzles.

As in any crossword there is the active cell into which a letter of the solution will be entered. There is also the standard black pattern cell. Then we encounter the right bar, the bottom bar and the combined bar. These are similar to the black pattern cell in that they terminate a word, but they also allow a letter to be inserted into the cell. The last cell type is a tunnel cell. Tunnel pattern cells do not contain a letter, but they also do not terminate a word. The word continues on the other side of the tunnel. There are horizontal and vertical tunnels which do not change the direction of a word, and there are four right angle turn cells which change the direction of a word by 90 degrees.

Bars Blocks 'n' Tunnels will work on any machine with Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista, that also has Internet Explorer 4 or later installed. Also requires Java Runtime.
